Director, cheesemaker and South Australian Premium Food and Wine Ambassador, Kris Lloyd AM has been the driving force behind the successful festival since 2006. What started as a Cheese Judging festival – inspired by Kris’ trips to the World Cheese Awards in Bra, Italy – has evolved into South Australia’s biggest Specialty Cheese Festival.
With a collection of cheesemakers from all over Australia, CheeseFest also attracts winemakers, brewers, food producers, restauranteurs and fermenters from all over South Australia. With Cheese a central ingredient, CheeseFest is a foodie’s paradise.
In 2021, we put on a special, COVID-Safe CheeseFest where we invited all South Aussies to remember the good times, picnic outside, and indulge in all things cheese, food and beverage.
